Hey everyone
I’ve been fascinated by behavioral science ever since taking the AP Psychology exam in high school. My love for understanding the mysteries of the mind hasn’t waned since.
In college, I got a bachelor’s degree in psychology and political science. During that time, I had the opportunity to serve as the lead research assistant in a political psychology research lab.
I went on to get my Master’s degree in experimental psychology and have been a project manager ever since. My number one professional goal is to double the growth of two socially conscious enterprises in the next four years.
Outside of work I like running, reading, and meditation (I love Headspace). On the whole, I found what makes me happiest is feeding my curiosity by always learning. That’s where I place my focus. On occasion to relax I’ll play some chess — a game that I’ve been involved in competitively since a kid.
What is your background as a project manager?
I have 3 years of experience in project management. During this time, I’ve learned to weave together project management best practices, behavioral science, and leading AI tools (quite the mix haha). I have several experiences that have shaped my skills as a project manager:
- As an undergraduate, I managed a political psychology lab. Our team ran experiments that investigated a range of topical issues, from framing effects to profiling in news coverage. We presented our results at both local and regional conferences. Later, I would join a leadership psychology lab; we’d go on to publish in the Journal of Social Behavior and Practice (plus my collaborator and I gave a Western Psychological Association Conference presentation which you can see below)
- Breathing.ai is a wellness chrome extension. The app uses patented-AI technology to adapt the users’ screen so they experience elevated digital wellness. It’s incredible tech, and I am grateful to have helped build it! I was the UX Manager at breathing.ai. My responsibilities included workshop facilitation, project planning for usability tests, and coordinating with front- and back-end developers. Our work culminated in success! Breathing.ai was admitted to the prestigious Tech Stars accelerator with an acceptance rate of only ~1%.
“Kamran was our UX design team’s glue. He led our team with his extensive knowledge of best practices in user experience, user research, as well as his ability to think through the smallest details the rest of us might have overlooked. No matter how stressful meetings got, Kamran made sure we all had a laugh and would be invaluable on any team.”

- I built a marketing and recruitment website for Planetary CARE, an innovative B2B consulting firm in the agriculture space. To achieve this, I designed a volunteer recruitment form connected to a Salesforce backend. The result? 19 volunteer leads who offered professional services worth several thousand dollars.
Tell me more about your hobbies.
I love to keep my mind and body active outside of work, and my hobbies reflect that. I enjoy reading, practicing magic ✨, running, and exploring philosophy. These activities help me maintain a healthy work-life balance and keep my mind sharp.
Oh, and I’m also part of a Toastmasters club! It has been a blast to connect with my club members. They have provided me with priceless opportunities to share my ideas, learn effective listening, and grow as a speaker.
